1. A resistor provides the current limiting for the starting electrode. 2. The current limiting of course depends upon the capacitor reactance. 3. These measures include isolated patient connections, high impedance connections and current limiting circuits. 4. Some have selectable current limiting as well. 5. HMI bulbs ( like all arc bulbs ) need a current limiting unit to function. 6. The circuit to the left overcomes the thermal problem ( see also, current limiting ). 7. The backup current limiting fuse operates only during transformer failure, therefore it is not field replaceable. 8. The current limiting is normally implemented as an anode resistor of a few tens of thousands of ohms. 9. The simplest inrush-current limiting system, used in many consumer electronics devices, is a NTC resistor. 10. Charging a capacitor with a current source ( the inductor ) prevents resistive current limiting and its associated energy loss.
